Mityvac MVA660 Universal Power Steering Adapter is used for removing trapped air from automobile power steering systems. This adapter was developed to reduce bleed time following power steering repairs. Featuring a universal cone-shaped rubber body, the adapter seals pump necks ranging from 5/8 up to 1-5/8 In. internal diameter, thus adapting to the varying diameters of many automotive power steering reservoirs to form an airtight seal when vacuum is applied. Once the adapter is installed and a Mityvac hand vacuum pump is connected, the air bubbles can be loosened by simply working the steering.MVA660 is designed to connect to Mityvac MV8000 or MV8500 hand vacuum pumps to exert a vacuum on the fluid surface of the reservoir. As trapped air works its way out of the system, the vacuum prevents foam from forming at the surface and air from reentering the system.
